Pedro M° Moraza comes from Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country. He has got a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Basque Country in Bilbao, at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

From early childhood onward, his father, Angel Moraza Ruiz, one of the foremost Basque painters of his day, founder of the Pajarita Group, imbued him with a love for the practice and contemplation of art.

As a young artist he lived for almost six years in Great Britain, a formative period during which he visited and attended lectures in many of Britain’s best known centres, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, The Tate and the National Gallery, and many other museums and galleries around Britain.
After returning to Spain, he enrolled in Fine Arts Studies at the Faculty of Arts in Bilbao and completed this five-year degree in 1989, graduating with a brilliant academic record and specialising in the creation of image both on canvas and on video.
While still an undergraduate, he was invited to design posters for various Basque Cartographic Exhibitions as well as the brochures for these events, organized by the Royal Academy for the Basque Language. He also designed various other posters and brochures around this time, including a poster for an Onomastic Conference in Reno (Nevada) U.S.A. in 1992.

His paintings can be found in many private collections in Spain and abroad and have been exhibited around the Basque Country and in the rest of Spain. Public Institutions such as The University of the Basque Country, The Bank of Vitoria, Caja Vital (now incorporated in Kutxabank) and Txagorritxu Hospital in Vitoria-Gasteiz also own some of his paintings.

He was appointed as a member of the Royal Society of friends of the Basque Country on 14th November 1994.
He also collaborates and writes for various publications such as the Landazuri Elkartea Society and gives lectures on modern art.
At present, he is mainly concentrating on various projects based on ceramic mosaics. The first of these is exhibited in Marina D’or, Oropesa del Mar (Castellon) Spain.
Since childhood his work has received the acknowledgement of numerous awards and prizes. In the Basque Country he has received awards from the Basque Department of Health, the University of the Basque Country, the Town Hall in Vitoria, and at a national level he has also won a number of medals and prizes, including the first prize in the National Sculpture Contest, «Ada de Oro» in 1999.
